The poster is in good condition and comes from the Red Cross and dates from 1945.
‘’Appeal to the people of the Western Netherlands
Since the first two ships with the foodstuffs offered to the population of the Western Netherlands have now arrived and the goods for distribution have been sent to the Rijksbureau V.V.O. have been made available, I apply to the people of North Holland, South Holland and Utrecht with the request to cooperate in ensuring that the foodstuffs will reach their destination in full; none of this should end up in the black trade, and I therefore request that you reject any offer of goods which are easily recognizable even of Swedish origin.
This is the only way that aid can fulfill its purpose and that the possibility of further supply remains open.

De poster is in goede conditie en is afkomstig van het Roode Kruis en dateert uit 1945.
”Appèl aan de bevolking van Westelijk Nederland
Daar de eerste twee schepen met de aan de bevolking van Westelijk Nederland aangeboden levensmiddelen nu zijn aangekomen en de goederen voor de distributie aan het Rijksbureau V.V.O. ter beschikking zijn gesteld, wend ik mij tot de bevolking van Noord-Holland, Zuid-Holland en Utrecht, met het verzoek er aan te willen medewerken, dat de levensmiddelen ten volle tot hun bestemming zullen komen; niets daarvan moet in den zwarten handel terecht komen en ik verzoek U daarom iedere eventueele aanbieding van goederen, welke gemakkelijk te herkken zijn al van Zweedsche afkomst, af te wijzen.
Alleen hierdoor kan de hulpverleening aan haar bedoeling beantwoorden en de mogelijkheid tot verderen aanvoer open blijven.
