Original WWII German Personal-Ausweis from occupied Poland, issued to Leokadia Tarka.
Leokadia Tarka was born on 2 October 1908 in Lublin.
During the German occupation she resided at Kraszewska Street 68 in Lublin.
Her position on the Ausweis is recorded as ‘Sekretärin’, meaning secretary.
The document also records her as a ‘Dolmetscherin’, or female interpreter, employed by the Deutsche Staatsanwaltschaft in Lublin.
The Personal-Ausweis bears number 43319 and retains her original identification photograph and signature.
The document was issued by the office of the Governor of the Lublin District within the General Government.
It was originally valid until 31 March 1943 and was subsequently extended several times, ultimately until 31 March 1945.
The extensions include dates of 16 March 1943 and 29 March 1944.
The Ausweis bears several official German eagle and swastika stamps, including stamps relating to the administration of the Lublin District.
An interesting personal document belonging to a Polish administrative employee and interpreter working for the German Staatsanwaltschaft in Lublin during the occupation.

Leokadia Tarka werd geboren op 2 oktober 1908 in Lublin.
Zij woonde tijdens de Duitse bezetting aan de Kraszewskistraat 68 in Lublin.
Op de Ausweis staat haar functie vermeld als ‘Sekretärin’, oftewel secretaresse.
Daarnaast wordt vermeld dat zij als ‘Dolmetscherin’, oftewel vrouwelijke tolk, werkzaam was bij de Deutsche Staatsanwaltschaft in Lublin.
De Personal-Ausweis draagt nummer 43319 en is voorzien van haar originele pasfoto en handtekening.
Het document werd uitgegeven door het kantoor van de Gouverneur van het Distrikt Lublin binnen het Generalgouvernement.
