Original WWII German SS photo grouping of Kaiser Wilhelm II funeral in Doorn

These SS photos are in good condition and they show the burial of Kaiser Wilhelm II at Huis Doorn.
The set consists of 11 photos and an envelope from Kaiser Wilhelm II’s estate.
The photos show high-ranking guests such as Reich Minister Dr. Arthur Seyss-Inquart.
It even includes a photo of Kaiser Wilhelm II as he lies deceased in his coffin.
Most of the photos are 18 x 13 cm in size, there is one larger and one smaller.
After the end of World War I in 1918, German Emperor Wilhelm II abdicated and fled to the Netherlands, which had remained neutral during the war.
He was granted asylum and settled at Huis Doorn, an estate in the province of Utrecht.
He lived there in exile from 1920 until his death in 1941.
Although he no longer played a political role, Wilhelm II remained a symbol of imperial Germany.
Huis Doorn became his permanent residence, and he had many personal belongings transported there from Germany.
Today, the house is a museum that reflects his life and the turbulent era in which he lived.

Originele WWII Duitse SS foto set van de begrafenis van Kaiser Wilhelm II in Doorn

Deze SS foto’s zijn in goede conditie en daarop is de begrafenis van Kaiser Wilhelm II in Huis Doorn te zien.
De set bestaat uit 11 foto’s en een envelop uit het bezit van Kaiser Wilhelm II.
Op de foto’s zijn hooggeplaatste gasten te zien zoals Rijksminister Dr. Arthur Seyss-Inquart.
Er zit zelfs een foto van Kaiser Wilhelm II bij terwijl hij overleden in zijn kist ligt.
De meeste foto’s hebben 18 x 13 cm grootte, er is één grotere en één kleinere.
Na het einde van de Eerste Wereldoorlog in 1918 trad de Duitse keizer Wilhelm II af en vluchtte hij naar Nederland, dat neutraal was gebleven tijdens de oorlog.
Hij kreeg asiel en vestigde zich in Huis Doorn, een landgoed in de provincie Utrecht.
Hier leefde hij in ballingschap van 1920 tot zijn dood in 1941.
Hoewel hij geen politieke rol meer speelde, bleef Wilhelm II een symbool van het keizerlijke Duitsland.
Huis Doorn werd zijn permanente verblijfplaats, en hij liet er veel persoonlijke bezittingen uit Duitsland naartoe overbrengen.
Tegenwoordig is het huis een museum dat herinnert aan zijn leven en de turbulente periode waarin hij leefde.
