This original Dutch ‘Radio Oranje’ speech is in used condition and was used during a radio speech in the BBC London office on December 22, 1942.
The speech contains information about the German occupation and the situation in the Dutch East Indies.
The documents are also stamped B.B.C. passed for security Dec. 22, 1942.
Radio Oranje was the official radio voice of the Dutch government in exile during World War II.
From the BBC studio in London, it broadcast daily from July 28, 1940, to June 2, 1945.
The broadcasts offered hope, news and moral support to the occupied Netherlands. Important speakers included Queen Wilhelmina, Prime Minister Gerbrandy, Loe de Jong, and A. den Doolaard. Radio Oranje played a crucial role in the resistance, with speeches, warnings, and coded messages that listeners followed in secret.
