Original WWII German Reichsarbeidstdienst (RAD) Vormann shoulder board

This German shoulder board from the Second World War belonged to the Reichsarbeitsdienst (RAD) and was worn by a Vormann, a rank comparable to corporal.
The shoulder board is made of brown-green wool with a sturdy twill backing and features the characteristic black and white braided piping along the edge, typical of RAD insignia.
The buttonhole opening is neatly finished and shows light traces of wear.
The Reichsarbeitsdienst (RAD) was a paramilitary organization in Germany responsible for labor deployment and compulsory service in both civil and military projects.
Members wore uniformed clothing and were often employed in infrastructure work, agriculture, and later also in military support.

Origineel WWII Duits Reichsarbeitsdienst (RAD) Vormann schouderstuk

Dit schouderstuk uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog behoort tot de Reichsarbeitsdienst (RAD) en werd gedragen door een Vormann, een rang vergelijkbaar met een korporaal.
Het schouderstuk is vervaardigd uit bruingroene wol met een stevige keperrug en heeft de kenmerkende zwart-witte gevlochten bies langs de rand, typerend voor de RAD-uniformering.
De knoopsgatopening is netjes afgewerkt en toont lichte gebruikssporen.
