Het embleem bestaat uit een ovaalvormige zwarte stoffen ondergrond met daarop een goudkleurig metalen anker dat wordt gekruist door twee bliksemschichten.
Het anker verwijst naar de Kriegsmarine, terwijl de gekruiste bliksemschichten de verbindingstaak van de drager aanduiden.
Dit type mouwembleem werd op het uniform gedragen als functie- en vakbekwaamheidsaanduiding voor personeel binnen de communicatiedienst.
