Original WWII German Geheime Feldpolizei ausweis

A very rarely seen GFP (Geheime Feldpolizei ausweis) it is in used condition.
The Geheime Feldpolizei (Secret Fieldpolice) was the secret military police of the Wehrmacht during World War II and was under the command of SS-Oberführer and Police colonel Wilhelm Krichbaum.
After the defeat of France in 1940, the GFP established its main headquarters at the Hôtel Bradford on the Rue Saint Philippe du Roule in Paris.
Other sections for the departments of Nord and Pas de Calais were based at Rue de La Traversière in Brussels.
Despite their small numbers, the GFP constituted the ‘root’ of the German police organ which terrorized the French people for four years of occupation.
The units of this intelligence organization used to carry out counter-espionage, detection of treasonable activities, counter-sabotage, protecting military installations, counter-propaganda and they delivered assistance to German army courts-martial investigations.
GFP personnel, who were also classed as Abwehrpolizei, operated as an executive branch of German military intelligence detecting resistance activity in Germany and occupied France.
They were also known for their executions of their prisoners and torture tactics.
The card has a tear on the left side, but nevertheless this is a very rare GFP ausweis, please remember that the GFP only had around 500 members!

Originele WWII Duitse Geheime Feldpolizei ausweis 

Een zeer zeldzame GFP (Geheime Feldpolizei ausweis) welke verkeert in gebruikte conditie.
De Geheime Feldpolizei (Geheime Veldpolitie) was de geheime militaire politie van de Wehrmacht tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog en werd geleid door SS-Oberführer en politie kolonel Wilhelm Krichbaum.
Na de nederlaag van Frankrijk in 1940 vestigde het GFP zijn hoofdkantoor in Hôtel Bradford aan de Rue Saint Philippe du Roule in Parijs.
Andere afdelingen voor de departementen Nord en Pas de Calais waren gevestigd in de Rue de La Traversière in Brussel.
Ondanks hun kleine aantal vormde de GFP de ‘wortel’ van het Duitse politieorgaan dat het Franse volk terroriseerde gedurende vier jaar bezetting.
De eenheden van deze inlichtingendienst voerden contra-spionage uit, detectie van verraderlijke activiteiten, contra-sabotage, bescherming van militaire installaties, contra-propaganda en ze verleenden hulp aan gerechtelijke onderzoeken van het Duitse leger.
GFP-personeel, dat ook werd geclassificeerd als Abwehrpolizei, opereerde als een uitvoerende tak van de Duitse militaire inlichtingendienst die verzetsactiviteiten in Duitsland en bezet Frankrijk detecteerde.
Ze stonden ook bekend om marteltactieken en executies van hun gevangenen.
De kaart heeft aan de linkerkant een scheurtje, maar buiten dat is dit een zeer zeldzame GFP ausweis, de GFP had slechts 500 leden!
