Original WWII German Appointment Certificate of Professor Dr. Otto Wenzel in Berlin 1940

This German appointment certificate was issued in Berlin on 8 February 1940.
In this document, Professor Dr. Otto Wenzel is officially appointed as Studienrat (teacher/professor in government service) for life.
The certificate is headed “In the Name of the German People”, featuring the eagle with swastika embossing, and signed on behalf of the Führer and Reich Chancellor, with countersignature of the Minister of Science, Education and National Culture.
Such appointment certificates granted academics and civil servants a permanent position and lifelong status within the German Reich service.
It is in good, used condition with light signs of age, but remains fully legible and complete.

Deze Duitse benoemingsoorkonde is in goede conditie werd uitgegeven in Berlijn op 8 februari 1940.
In dit document wordt professor Dr. Otto Wenzel officieel aangesteld tot Studienrat (leraar/professor in overheidsdienst) voor het leven. De oorkonde is opgesteld “Im Namen des Deutschen Volkes”, voorzien van de adelaar met hakenkruis-embossing, en ondertekend namens de Führer en Rijkskanselier, met contrasignatuur van de minister van Wetenschap, Opvoeding en Volksontwikkeling.
Dit soort benoemingsoorkonden verleende academici en ambtenaren een vaste aanstelling en levenslange status in de Duitse rijksdienst.
Het verkeert in goede, gebruikte staat met lichte ouderdomssporen, maar is nog steeds duidelijk leesbaar en compleet.
