The leaflet is in good condition and was used by the Dutch Studenten Front.
The National Socialist Student Front was a student organization of the National Socialist Movement. The Student Front was founded on November 16, 1940 in The Hague by Robert van Genechten.

DECLARATION

With the renewal that Europe is undergoing, our Fatherland has been directly and strongly involved since the days of May last year.
The quiet struggle that had already begun years before between the old and the new has thereby been brought to greater clarity and sharpness. Now, for everyone to see, the forces of misunderstanding, self-interest, and blunt conservatism are rising against the initiated renewal of the people.

In the last days of November, this struggle has also flared up at the universities and colleges. There, it led to student strikes in Delft and Leiden and influenced the spirit of students elsewhere to such an extent that a reopening of the affected institutions after the Christmas holidays cannot simply be taken for granted.
These events compel the National Socialist Student Front to make a public declaration.

It speaks out in favor of renewal and against conservatism. It recognizes in the manner in which conservatism manifests itself at the universities, a threat to the future of our Fatherland, a disruption and hindrance to the necessary development of our higher education, and a danger to the personal interests of the students.

For these reasons, the Student Front unconditionally rejects the mentioned expressions of conservatism, and especially the strikes, and calls on fellow students to join the front, or at least to collectively resist the harmful spirit that threatens all our futures and to work together in a way that guarantees peaceful progress.
Locally, further steps will be taken to achieve these goals.

De flyer is in goede conditie en werd gebruikt door het Nederlandse Studentenfront.
Het Nationaal Socialistisch Studentenfront was een studentenorganisatie van de Nationaal Socialistische Beweging.
Het Studentenfront werd op 16 november 1940 in Den Haag door Robert van Genechten opgericht.
Afmetingen: 22 x 14 cm.

VERKLARING

Bij de vernieuwing, welke Europa ondergaat, is ons Vaderland sedert de Meidagen van het vorige jaar rechtstreeks en sterk betrokken.
De hier reeds enige jaren tevoren ingezette stille strijd tusschen het oude en het nieuwe is daardoor tot grooter klaarte en scherpte gebracht. Thans verheffen zich, voor iedereen zichtbaar, tegen de aangevangen volksvernieuwing de machten van het misverstand, het eigen belang en de botte behoudzucht.

In de laatste dagen van November j.l. is deze strijd ook aan de Universiteiten en Hoogescholen opgelaaid. Daar leidde deze tot studentenstakingen in Delft en Leiden en beïnvloedde hij elders den geest der studeerenden zoodanig, dat ook daar op een heropening der betrokken inrichtingen na de Kerstvacantie niet zonder meer mag worden gerekend.
Deze feiten nopen het Nationaal-Socialistisch Studentenfront tot een openlijke verklaring.

Het spreekt zich uit vóór de vernieuwing en tegen het behoud. Het onderkent in de wijze waarop de behoudzucht zich aan de hoogescholen uit, een bedreiging van de toekomst van ons Vaderland, een verstoring en belemmering van de noodzakelijke ontwikkeling van ons Hooger onderwijs en een gevaar voor de persoonlijke belangen der studenten.

Om deze redenen keurt het Studentenfront de bedoelde uitingen der behoudzucht en met name de stakingen onvoorwaardelijk af en roept het de medestudenten op tot aansluiting bij het front, in ieder geval tot gemeenschappelijk verzet tegen den kwaden geest, die ons aller toekomst bedreigt en tot een samenwerking, die vreedzamen opbouw waarborgt.
Plaatselijk zullen nadere stappen tot bereiking van deze doeleinden worden gedaan.
