Original Croatian Ustaša stickpin dating from the Second World War period.
The pin is designed in the distinctive shape of the letter ‘U’, a symbol used by the Croatian Ustaša movement.
The centre features the Croatian chequerboard coat of arms with a stylised element positioned above it.
The Ustaša was a Croatian fascist and ultranationalist movement that ruled the Independent State of Croatia during WWII, an Axis state aligned with Germany and Italy.
The metal emblem features horizontal relief lines and is fitted with a long pin for attachment to clothing.
Remnants of the original finish can still be seen on the central coat of arms.
The stickpin shows signs of use and discolouration consistent with a historically worn example.

De speld is uitgevoerd in de kenmerkende vorm van de letter ‘U’, het symbool dat door de Kroatische Ustaša-beweging werd gebruikt.
Centraal bevindt zich het Kroatische schaakbordwapen met daarboven een gestileerd element.
De Ustaša was een Kroatische fascistische en ultranationalistische beweging die tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog het bewind voerde over de Onafhankelijke Staat Kroatië, een met Duitsland en Italië verbonden As-staat.
Het metalen embleem is voorzien van horizontale reliëflijnen en heeft een lange naald waarmee het op kleding gedragen kon worden.
Op het centrale wapenschild zijn nog resten van de oorspronkelijke afwerking zichtbaar.
