Original 1937 Dutch NSB newspaper ‘De Stormklok’ Groningen

Original pre-WWII Dutch NSB newspaper ‘De Stormklok’, dated February 25, 1937.
This is issue number 2, with a stated circulation of 70,000 copies.
‘De Stormklok’ is described on the front page as the ‘Strijdorgaan voor Gewest VIII der Nationaal-Socialistische Beweging’.
Its editorial and administrative office was located at Poelestraat 16a in Groningen, giving this issue a direct connection to pre-war NSB activities in Groningen and the northern Netherlands.
The prominent logo depicts a storm bell accompanied by the slogan ‘Mussert of Moskou’, referring to NSB leader Anton Mussert and the movement’s strongly anti-communist ideology.
The front page features the main article ‘D’Ansembourg klaagt aan’, concerning a speech delivered by Count d’Ansembourg on February 19, 1937 on behalf of the Nationaal-Socialistische Beweging.

The newspaper is in used condition with folds, minor edge damage and further traces of use, as visible in the photos.

Originele vooroorlogse Nederlandse NSB-krant ‘De Stormklok’, gedateerd 25 februari 1937 Groningen

Het betreft nummer 2 van deze uitgave, met een vermelde oplage van 70.000 exemplaren.
‘De Stormklok’ wordt op de voorpagina aangeduid als ‘Strijdorgaan voor Gewest VIII der Nationaal-Socialistische Beweging’.
De redactie en administratie waren gevestigd aan de Poelestraat 16a in Groningen, waarmee dit exemplaar een duidelijke verbinding heeft met de vooroorlogse NSB-activiteiten in Groningen en Noord-Nederland.
Opvallend is het grote logo met een stormklok en de tekst ‘Mussert of Moskou’, een verwijzing naar NSB-leider Anton Mussert en het uitgesproken anticommunistische gedachtegoed van de beweging.
