Original British miniature version of the India General Service Medal with “Waziristan 1919-21” clasp.
This miniature medal refers to the British Army campaigns in Waziristan on the North-West Frontier of British India shortly after the First World War.
The obverse features King George V with the inscription “GEORGIVS V KAISAR-I-HIND”, while the reverse depicts a fortress landscape with “INDIA”.
The medal retains its original ribbon in green and dark blue colours together with the silver coloured “WAZIRISTAN 1919-21” campaign clasp.
Miniature medals were worn on mess dress, formal military uniforms and veterans attire.
