Original complete set of two official appointment documents relating to the appointment of Captain F.P.A. van Gheel Gildemeester of the Royal Netherlands East Indies Army Marechaussee Corps as Knight 4th Class of the Military William Order.
The set consists of the Royal appointment decree dated 11 February 1915 and the official notification letter dated 10 February 1915 issued by the Chancellor of the Military William Order.
The appointment was granted in the name of Queen Wilhelmina for distinguished bravery and service during military operations in Aceh and its Dependencies in the Dutch East Indies.
The Royal appointment decree bears the official embossed seal of the Kingdom of the Netherlands together with original signatures of the responsible authorities.

De set bestaat uit de Koninklijke benoemingsakte van 11 februari 1915 en de officiële kennisgevingsbrief van 10 februari 1915 van de Kanselier der Militaire Willems-Orde.
De benoeming werd verleend namens Koningin Wilhelmina voor bewezen moed en verdiensten tijdens de krijgsverrichtingen in Atjeh en Onderhorigheden gedurende de militaire operaties in Nederlands-Indië.
De Koninklijke benoemingsakte is voorzien van het officiële blindzegel van het Koninkrijk der Nederlanden en originele handtekeningen van de betrokken autoriteiten.
