Original Dutch Korps Rijksveldwacht Helmet Plate Model 1923-1941 White Metal Royal Coat of Arms 1907

Original Dutch helmet plate of the Korps Rijksveldwacht, model 1923-1941.
The helmet plate is manufactured from white metal and displays the Dutch Royal Coat of Arms according to the 1907 model.
At the centre is the crowned shield bearing the Dutch lion holding a sword and bundle of arrows.
The shield is supported on either side by two crowned lions.
Below the coat of arms is a scroll bearing the Dutch motto ‘Je Maintiendrai’.
This type of helmet plate was worn on the helmets of members of the Korps Rijksveldwacht and formed a distinctive part of the uniform of this Dutch national police force.
The Korps Rijksveldwacht was a national police organisation that existed until 1941 and was dissolved and reorganised during the German occupation.
The reverse retains two metal attachment loops for mounting the plate onto a helmet.
The helmet plate remains in used condition with traces of wear as visible in the photographs.
An interesting original piece for collectors of Dutch police, Rijksveldwacht, pre-war uniform insignia and militaria from the 1923-1941 period.

Originele Nederlandse helmplaat van het Korps Rijksveldwacht, model 1923-1941.
De helmplaat is vervaardigd in witmetaal en toont het Nederlandse koninklijke wapen volgens het model van 1907

Centraal bevindt zich het gekroonde wapenschild met de Nederlandse leeuw, voorzien van zwaard en pijlenbundel.
Het wapenschild wordt aan weerszijden ondersteund door twee gekroonde leeuwen.
Aan de onderzijde bevindt zich een lint met het Nederlandse devies ‘Je Maintiendrai’.
Dit type helmplaat werd gedragen op de helm van leden van het Korps Rijksveldwacht en behoort tot de herkenbare uitrustingsstukken van deze Nederlandse politiedienst.
Het Korps Rijksveldwacht was een landelijke politiedienst die tot 1941 bestond en tijdens de Duitse bezetting werd opgeheven en gereorganiseerd.
De achterzijde is voorzien van twee metalen bevestigingsogen voor montage op de helm.
De helmplaat verkeert in gebruikte staat met gebruikssporen en slijtage zoals zichtbaar op de foto’s.
Een interessant origineel voor verzamelaars van Nederlandse politie, Rijksveldwacht, vooroorlogse uniformonderdelen en militaria uit de periode 1923-1941.
