Original WWII Dutch ‘Stad- en Landwacht’ cuff title

1.395

The cuff title is in worn condition and was worn on a Landwacht Nederland uniform.
This printed cuff title is produced with a rubberized water resistance cloth and contains the text Stad- en Landwacht, in our opinion this is a very late war type, probably 1945.
We only have seen just one other example before!

On the 12th of March 1943 the ‘Landwacht Nederland’ was established and this organization existed mainly out of NSB members and other collaborators in the Netherlands.
They had the task to control civilians at roadblocks and help the police forces and German troops.
On October 16, 1943, an order was issued that ‘Landwacht Nederland’ would immediately carry the name ‘Landstorm Nederland’ as an SS-Grenadier-Regiment.
Lenght: 39,5 cm
As a reference we have posted the newspaper article regarding the establishment of the Stad- en Landwacht.

A very rare cuff title for the collaboration and World War II collection!

Originele WWII Nederlandse ‘Landwacht Nederland’ cuff title
