Original German Sudetendeutsche Partei (SdP) membership stick pin dating from the 1930s.
The Sudetendeutsche Partei was a political party representing sections of the German-speaking population of Czechoslovakia and was led by Konrad Henlein.
The organization was founded in 1933 as the Sudetendeutsche Heimatfront and adopted the name Sudetendeutsche Partei in 1935.
The piece is constructed as a long stick pin topped by the red enamelled shield-shaped emblem of the SdP.
The red field displays the silver-coloured party emblem.
This type of small badge was worn on civilian clothing as an indication of affiliation with or membership of the Sudetendeutsche Partei.
The SdP played an important role during the Sudeten Crisis of 1938, after which the Sudetenland was annexed by Germany following the Munich Agreement.
Following the annexation, the Sudetendeutsche Partei was dissolved and incorporated into the NSDAP.

De Sudetendeutsche Partei was een politieke partij onder de Duitstalige bevolking van Tsjecho-Slowakije en stond onder leiding van Konrad Henlein.
De partij werd in 1933 opgericht als Sudetendeutsche Heimatfront en kreeg in 1935 de naam Sudetendeutsche Partei.
De speld is uitgevoerd als een lange steekspeld met aan de bovenzijde het rood geëmailleerde schildvormige embleem van de SdP.
Op het rode veld bevindt zich het zilverkleurige partijembleem.
Dit type kleine speld werd op burgerkleding gedragen en diende als teken van verbondenheid met of lidmaatschap van de Sudetendeutsche Partei.
De SdP speelde een belangrijke rol tijdens de Sudetencrisis van 1938, waarna het Sudetenland na het Verdrag van München door Duitsland werd geannexeerd.
Na de annexatie werd de Sudetendeutsche Partei opgeheven en opgenomen in de NSDAP.
