Original WWII German 3.7 cm Flak 18 Anti-Aircraft Brass Shell Casing 1938

Original German 3.7 cm Flak 18 brass shell casing from the Second World War.
This type of casing was used with the 3.7 cm Flak, a German anti-aircraft gun deployed during the Second World War against low-flying aircraft and also capable of engaging ground targets.
The base of the casing features several original markings including ‘3,7 cm Flak 18’, the year ‘1938’, number ‘6348’ and additional production and inspection markings.
A German eagle with ‘WaA36’ is also visible on the base.
The primer in the centre is marked with, among other markings, ‘C/33’, ‘1940’ and ‘Rhs’.
The casing is manufactured from brass and shows traces of use and discolouration consistent with a military-used example from this period.
Its clearly visible base markings make this shell casing an interesting collector’s item for a collection focused on German Flak, Luftwaffe, anti-aircraft and ammunition-related militaria.
This item consists solely of the empty shell casing.

Originele Duitse 3,7 cm Flak 18 messing huls uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog

Dit type huls werd gebruikt voor de 3,7 cm Flak, een Duits luchtafweerkanon dat tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog werd ingezet tegen laagvliegende vliegtuigen en tevens tegen gronddoelen kon worden gebruikt.
De bodem van de huls is voorzien van verschillende originele stempelingen waaronder ‘3,7 cm Flak 18’, het jaartal ‘1938’, nummer ‘6348’ en meerdere aanvullende productie- en keurmerken.
Ook is op de bodem een Duitse adelaar met ‘WaA36’ zichtbaar.
Het slaghoedje in het midden is gemarkeerd met onder andere ‘C/33’, ‘1940’ en ‘Rhs’.
De huls is vervaardigd uit messing en toont gebruikssporen en verkleuringen die passen bij een militair gebruikt exemplaar uit deze periode.
De duidelijke bodemstempels maken deze huls een interessant verzamelobject binnen een collectie Duitse Flak, Luftwaffe, luchtafweer en munitie gerelateerde militaria.
Het betreft uitsluitend de lege huls.
