Original WWII Dutch NSB lion cap badge dating from the Second World War period.
The badge depicts the distinctive Dutch lion with crown, sword and bundle of arrows and was worn as headgear insignia within the Nationaal-Socialistische Beweging (NSB).
This gold-coloured metal badge retains two attachment prongs on the reverse for mounting it to a cap.
The front features detailed workmanship with the lion’s mane, crown, sword and bundle of arrows clearly represented.
An interesting piece of original Dutch collaboration militaria from the occupation period.

Origineel WWII Nederlands NSB leeuw pet embleem uit de periode van de Tweede Wereldoorlog
Het embleem toont de kenmerkende Nederlandse leeuw met kroon, zwaard en pijlenbundel en werd gedragen als hoofddekselinsigne binnen de Nationaal-Socialistische Beweging (NSB).
Het goudkleurige metalen embleem is aan de achterzijde voorzien van twee bevestigingspennen voor montage op de pet.
De voorzijde heeft een gedetailleerde uitvoering waarbij onder andere de manen, kroon, het zwaard en de pijlenbundel duidelijk zijn uitgewerkt.
Een interessant origineel Nederlands collaboratieobject uit de bezettingsperiode.
