Original WWII Allied Burma Propaganda Leaflet with Peacock

Original World War II propaganda leaflet printed in Burmese and intended for distribution among the population of Burma.
The front features a striking green illustration of a peacock with its tail feathers spread, an important national symbol of Burma.
The leaflet contains Burmese text on both sides and formed part of Allied propaganda activities during the campaign against the Japanese occupation of Burma.
The reverse is marked at the bottom with the printing or identification code ‘SB/18’.
Leaflets of this type were used during the Burma Campaign to inform the local population and spread the Allied message.
The example remains in good condition with minor signs of use clearly visible in the photos.

Origineel propagandastrooibiljet uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog, gedrukt in het Birmaans en bedoeld voor verspreiding onder de bevolking van Birma

Op de voorzijde staat een opvallende groene afbeelding van een pauw met uitgespreide veren, een belangrijk nationaal symbool van Birma.
Het strooibiljet bevat aan beide zijden Birmese tekst en maakte deel uit van de geallieerde propaganda tijdens de strijd tegen de Japanse bezetting van Birma.
Onderaan de achterzijde is de druk- of identificatiecode ‘SB/18’ aangebracht.
Dergelijke strooibiljetten werden tijdens de Burma Campaign gebruikt om de lokale bevolking te informeren en de geallieerde boodschap te verspreiden.
Het exemplaar verkeert in goede conditie met lichte gebruikssporen die duidelijk op de foto’s zichtbaar zijn.
