Original WWII Dutch NSB Propaganda Flyer ‘Duitschland wint voor Europa’ 1941

Original Dutch NSB propaganda flyer from World War II featuring the slogan ‘Duitschland wint voor Europa op alle fronten’.
The flyer displays a large orange letter V with the propaganda slogan printed across it in black lettering.
This slogan formed part of the large-scale V propaganda campaign conducted by the German occupation authorities and the NSB in the Netherlands in 1941.
The campaign was launched as a response to the British ‘V for Victory’ campaign, in which the letter V was used by the Allies and resistance movements as a symbol of victory and hope.
German propaganda attempted to appropriate this well-known symbol and give it a different meaning by associating the V with a supposed German victory.

Originele Nederlandse NSB propagandaflyer uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog met de leus ‘Duitschland wint voor Europa op alle fronten’

De flyer toont een grote oranje letter V met daarover de propagandatekst in zwarte letters.
Deze leus maakte deel uit van de grootschalige V-propagandacampagne die in 1941 door de Duitse bezetter en de NSB in Nederland werd gevoerd.
De campagne was een reactie op de Britse ‘V for Victory’-actie, waarbij de letter V door de geallieerden en het verzet juist werd gebruikt als symbool voor overwinning en hoop.
De Duitse propaganda probeerde dit bekende symbool over te nemen en een eigen betekenis te geven door de V te verbinden aan de vermeende Duitse overwinning.
