Original WWII German Propaganda Leaflet Stalin Churchill Roosevelt Soviet Union 1945

This original German propaganda leaflet from World War II is in used condition with visible fold lines and signs of wear.
The English-language leaflet dates from 1945 and bears the printing code ‘1321 / 2 45’ in the lower right corner.
The colourful front features a caricature of Joseph Stalin standing in front of a map of Europe while Winston Churchill and Franklin D. Roosevelt are shown behind him.
Below the illustration appears the text ‘Is this an expression of agreement or of heart ache, Gentlemen?’.
The reverse is headed ‘What the Red Dictator refused to sign….’ and presents eight points focusing on the Soviet Union and the relationship between Stalin and the Western Allies.
Subjects mentioned include the Geneva Convention, prisoners of war, the future political order of Europe, reparations, free elections in liberated European countries and relations with Japan.
Poland, Yugoslavia, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece and the Baltic States are also specifically mentioned in the text.
The German propaganda attempted to exploit existing political differences and distrust between the Soviet Union, Great Britain and the United States.
The combination of the striking colour illustration, Stalin, Churchill and Roosevelt and the extensive political propaganda text makes this an interesting example of German psychological warfare from the final months of World War II.

Origineel WWII Duits propaganda strooibiljet Stalin, Winston Churchill en Franklin D. Roosevelt

Dit originele Duitse propagandastrooibiljet uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog verkeert in gebruikte conditie met zichtbare vouwlijnen en gebruikssporen.
Het Engelstalige strooibiljet dateert uit 1945 en draagt rechtsonder de drukcode ‘1321 / 2 45’.
Op de kleurrijke voorzijde is een karikatuur afgebeeld van Jozef Stalin voor een kaart van Europa, terwijl Winston Churchill en Franklin D. Roosevelt achter hem staan.
Onder de afbeelding staat de tekst ‘Is this an expression of agreement or of heart ache, Gentlemen?’.
De achterzijde draagt de titel ‘What the Red Dictator refused to sign….’ en bevat acht punten waarin de Sovjet-Unie en de verhouding tussen Stalin en de westelijke geallieerden centraal staan.
Onderwerpen die in de tekst worden genoemd zijn onder andere de Conventie van Genève, krijgsgevangenen, de toekomstige politieke inrichting van Europa, herstelbetalingen, vrije verkiezingen in bevrijde Europese landen en de verhouding met Japan.
Ook worden Polen, Joegoslavië, Roemenië, Bulgarije, Griekenland en de Baltische staten expliciet genoemd.
