Original WWII British/Nepal military Gurkha Kukri 1945

An original British Army Gurkha Kukri dating from 1945, issued during the final year of the Second World War. This authentic military fighting knife features the classic forward-curved blade, designed for both utility and combat use, and remains one of the most iconic edged weapons carried by Gurkha troops in British service.

The blade is stamped with the British Broad Arrow government ownership mark, confirming military acceptance. The original black hardwood grip is secured with steel rivets and shows honest service wear consistent with its age. The kukri retains its original brown leather scabbard, complete with the original leather frog and securing strap. The throat of the scabbard is clearly stamped C/1945, CA90, and 10, indicating wartime production and inspection markings.

Both the knife and scabbard remain in solid, untouched condition with a well-developed patina, making this an attractive collector’s example. The blade has been cleaned in the past but still retains its original military appearance and has not been excessively polished. The leather scabbard is complete and remains supple, showing expected age-related wear without significant damage.

Originele Britse Army Gurkha Kukri uit 1945, geproduceerd in het laatste jaar van de Tweede Wereldoorlog. De kukri was het standaard gevechts- en gebruiksmes van de beroemde Gurkha-eenheden die dienden binnen het Britse leger. Dankzij zijn karakteristieke gebogen lemmet stond de kukri bekend om zijn veelzijdigheid en betrouwbaarheid, zowel tijdens gevechtsoperaties als voor dagelijks gebruik in het veld.

Het lemmet is voorzien van de Britse Broad Arrow eigendomsmarkering, wat bevestigt dat het mes officieel door het Britse leger is geaccepteerd.
