Original “Wapenbroeders” magazine issued for Dutch armed forces in the Dutch East Indies during 1949.
This edition is volume 4 number 1 dated April 7, 1949.
The magazine contains extensive articles, illustrations, photographs, reports and cartoons about military life of Dutch troops in Indonesia.
The cover features Dutch soldiers reading in the field beneath the title “Nederlandse Strijdkrachten in Indonesië”.
Inside are contributions covering Batavia, Soerabaja, Java and several military branches including the Royal Netherlands Navy.
The publication includes articles such as “De Dreadnought”, “Van alle windstreken”, “Feest van de Rijstoogst” and “Nieuwe Aspecten bij Demobilisatie”.
