Original Dutch liberation cup from the World War II period featuring the inscription “Nederland 5 Mei 1945” with the VRIJ symbol in the center.
This pottery cup commemorates the liberation of the Netherlands on May 5th 1945 at the end of the German occupation.
Manufactured by Société Céramique in Maastricht and made in cream colored pottery with red decorative laurel wreaths and typography surrounding the cup.
Marked on the underside with “Made in Holland” and the factory mark of Société Céramique Maastricht.
A remarkable Dutch historical remembrance object from the final stage of World War II.

Deze aardewerken beker herdenkt de bevrijding van Nederland op 5 mei 1945 aan het einde van de Duitse bezetting.
Vervaardigd door Société Céramique in Maastricht en uitgevoerd in crème kleurig aardewerk met rode decoratie van lauwerkransen en typografie rondom de beker.
