Original East German DDR NVA parade helmet cover

This original NVA helmet cover is an authentic military item from the former National People’s Army (Nationale Volksarmee) of the GDR (East Germany).

The cover is made from a light-colored fabric and features a striking red band with a centrally embroidered emblem in the colors black, red, and yellow, combined with the characteristic DDR coat of arms. This type of cover was worn over a parade helmet and gave the uniform a distinctive and well-presented appearance during ceremonial occasions.

The helmet cover is made from a thin yet durable textile fabric that can easily be placed over the helmet, while the elastic edge ensures it stays securely in position.

This example is in used condition with light discoloration and a few small stains, but it remains an interesting collectible for enthusiasts of DDR, Cold War, or military uniform items.

Dit originele NVA helmovertrek is een authentiek militair stuk uit de voormalige Nationale Volksarmee (Nationale Volksleger) van de DDR. Het overtrek is uitgevoerd in een lichte stof en voorzien van een opvallende rode band met centraal het geborduurde embleem in de kleuren zwart, rood en geel, gecombineerd met het karakteristieke DDR-wapen. Dit type overtrek werd gedragen over de paradehelm en gaf het uniform tijdens ceremoniële gelegenheden een herkenbare en verzorgde uitstraling. Het helmovertrek is gemaakt van een dunne maar stevige textielstof die eenvoudig over de helm wordt geplaatst en door de elastische rand goed op zijn plaats blijft zitten. Dit exemplaar verkeert in gebruikte staat met lichte verkleuringen en enkele kleine vlekjes, maar het stuk blijft een interessant verzamelobject voor verzamelaars van DDR-, Koude Oorlog- of militaire uniformstukken.
