Original WWII German M33 early SS dagger

This early German M33 SS dagger is a historically correct example featuring nickel-silver fittings, characteristic of production from the early years (circa 1933–1936).
The dagger remains in honest, untouched collector’s condition, showing clear signs of age and use consistent with its period.

The black lacquered wooden grip has the typical slender M33 profile and is inlaid with the SS runic shield and the metal eagle with swastika. Both emblems are correctly set and display an attractive, natural patina.

The nickel-silver crossguards and pommel show an even, matte patina with normal signs of handling. The pommel nut is undamaged. On the front of the lower crossguard, a Roman numeral “III” is stamped.

The blade features the etched motto “Meine Ehre heißt Treue,” which remains clearly visible and well defined. On the reverse side, the maker’s mark of Gottlieb Hammesfahr, Solingen-Foche is present.

The matching black lacquered scabbard is fitted with nickel-silver mounts and suspension ring.

Overall, this is a representative early M33 SS example with nickel-silver fittings, correctly marked crossguard, and clearly visible motto, preserved in honest and untouched condition. An interesting collectible for the advanced militaria or dagger collector.

Originele WWII Duitse M33 vroege SS dolk 

Deze vroege Duitse M33 SS-dolk betreft een historisch en correct uitgevoerd exemplaar met nikkel zilveren monturen, kenmerkend voor de productie uit de beginjaren (circa 1933–1936). De dolk verkeert in een eerlijk, onaangetast verzamelconditie met duidelijke sporen van leeftijd en gebruik. Het zwart gelakte houten heft heeft de typische, slank gevormde M33-profielering en is ingelegd met het SS-runeschild en de metalen adelaar met swastika. Beide emblemen zitten correct ingelegd en tonen een fraaie, natuurlijke patina. De nikkelzilveren pareerstangen en pommel tonen een gelijkmatige, doffe patina met normale gebruikssporen. De pommelmoer is onbeschadigd. Op de voorzijde van de onderste pareerstang is een Romeins cijfer “III” geslagen. Het lemmet is voorzien van het geëtste motto “Meine Ehre heißt Treue”, dat duidelijk en goed leesbaar aanwezig is. Op de keerzijde is het makersteken van Gottlieb Hammesfahr, Solingen-Foche zichtbaar. De bijpassende zwart gelakte schede is voorzien van nikkelzilveren beslag met draagring. Al met al betreft dit een representatief vroeg M33 SS-exemplaar met nikkelzilveren onderdelen, correct gemarkeerde pareerstang en zichtbaar motto, in een eerlijke en onaangetaste staat. Een interessant verzamelobject voor de gevorderde militaria of dolken verzamelaar!
