This Dutch evacuation armband from the Second World War was used by the Air Protection Service (LBD) in the municipality of Bloemendaal. The armband is made of light cotton and features the clearly printed black text “Evacuatie Bloemendaal Buurt”, as worn by local aid workers and volunteers involved in coordinating evacuations and civil protection. An interesting piece for any collection of LBD equipment or Dutch World War II memorabilia!

Deze Nederlandse evacuatie armband uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog werd gebruikt binnen de Luchtbeschermingsdienst (LBD) in de gemeente Bloemendaal. De armband is gemaakt van licht katoen en draagt in zwarte, duidelijk leesbare letters de tekst “Evacuatie Bloemendaal Buurt”, zoals gedragen door lokale hulpdiensten en vrijwilligers die betrokken waren bij het coördineren van evacuaties en civiele bescherming.
