Original WWII Walloon REX entrance ticket

The Walloon REX admission ticket is in good condition and was used on October 2, 1938 at the Sports Palace in Brussels during a meeting of Léon Degrelle.

Léon Degrelle (1906-1994) was a Belgian fascist politician and military leader who rose to prominence in the 1930s and 1940s.
He was the founder and leader of the Rexist Party, a far-right political party in Belgium that was modeled after the Italian Fascist Party.
During World War II, Degrelle collaborated with Germany and fought on the Eastern Front as the commander of the Walloon Legion, a unit of Belgian volunteers who fought alongside the German army.
He was later granted German citizenship and promoted to the rank of SS-Standartenführer (colonel) in the Waffen-SS.
After the war, Degrelle fled to Spain, where he lived in exile for the rest of his life.

Origineel WWII Waals REX entreekaartje voor evenement van Léon Degrelle

Het Waalse REX entreekaartje is in goede conditie en werd gebruikt op 2 oktober 1938 in het sportpaleis in Brussel tijdens een bijeenkomst van Léon Degrelle.

Léon Degrelle (1906-1994) was een Belgisch fascistisch politicus en militair leider die in de jaren dertig en veertig opgang maakte. Hij was de oprichter en leider van de Rexistische Partij, een extreem-rechtse politieke partij in België die was gemodelleerd naar de Italiaanse fascistische partij.
Tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog collaboreerde Degrelle met nazi-Duitsland en vocht hij aan het Oostfront als commandant van het Waals Legioen, een eenheid van Belgische vrijwilligers die aan de zijde van het Duitse leger vocht. Later kreeg hij het Duitse staatsburgerschap en werd hij bevorderd tot SS-Standartenführer (kolonel) in de Waffen-SS.
Na de oorlog vluchtte Degrelle naar Spanje, waar hij de rest van zijn leven in ballingschap leefde.
