Original WWII Vlaamsche Wacht ‘Kanaalwacht’ collaboration breast insignia

This Flemish collaboration breast insignia is in worn condition and was worn by a member of the Vlaamsche Wacht ‘Kanaalwacht’ during World War II.
The Vlaamsche Wacht was founded in May 1941 by the VOS leaders Germain Lefever and Karel De Feyter, however at the instigation of the German Wehrmacht and it was a collaboration organization with all kinds of assisting tasks.
During World War II, some 5,000 members served in this collaboration organization.
A very rare object for the Flemish collaboration collection!

Originele WWII Vlaamsche Wacht ‘Kanaalwacht’ collaboratie borst embleem

Dit Vlaamse collaboratie borst embleem is in gedragen conditie en werd gedragen door een lid van de Vlaamsche Wacht ‘Kanaalwacht’ tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog.
De Vlaamsche Wacht werd in mei 1941 opgericht door de VOS-leiders Germain Lefever en Karel De Feyter, evenwel op instigatie van de Duitse Wehrmacht en het betrof een collaboratie organisatie met allerlei assisteren taken.
Gedurende de Tweede Wereldoorlog dienden er zo’n 5.000 leden in deze collaboratie organisatie.
Een zeldzaam embleem voor de Vlaamse collaboratie collectie!
