Original WWII US Navy Chief Petty Officer (CPO) cap insignia.
The insignia depicts a gold-coloured anchor with a twisted rope design around it, overlaid with the letters ‘U.S.N’ in silver-coloured metal.
This type of insignia was worn on the front of the white or blue service cap of a Chief Petty Officer in the US Navy.
The reverse shows the attachment points of the insignia.
The insignia comes in its original cardboard box with maroon lining.
