Dimensions: 63 x 47 cm.
The poster is in Russian and German language and indicated the new rules and was intended to inform the German population.

The Battle of Berlin

The Battle of Berlin was the final major military confrontation of World War II in Europe. Between April 16 and May 2, 1945, Soviet troops launched a massive offensive to capture the German capital.
The city, defended by the remaining German forces and Volkssturm militias, was heavily bombed and besieged.
On April 30, 1945, Adolf Hitler committed suicide in his bunker, and a few days later, on May 2, the German defenders of Berlin surrendered. This marked the definitive collapse of the Third Reich and hastened Germany’s overall surrender on May 8, 1945.
During the battle of Berlin, the Soviet authorities established military governance, led by General Nikolai Bersarin, the first Soviet city commander of Berlin. This order, shown in the poster, is one of the first official announcements of Soviet occupation. The poster, written in both Russian and German, contains the initial directives issued by the Soviets to the Berlin population.
The April 1945 poster outlines the new power structure and announces measures such as:
The ban on Nazi organizations, including the NSDAP and SS.

Deze zeer zeldzame en vooral bijzondere Russische Nr 1 bekendmaking poster is in gebruikte conditie en werd opgehangen nog tijdens de Slag om Berlijn in april 1945.
Afmetingen: 63 x 47 cm.
De poster is in de Russische en Duitse taal en gaf de nieuwe regels aan en was bedoeld om de Duitse bevolking te informeren.

De slag om Berlijn

De Slag om Berlijn was de laatste grote militaire confrontatie van de Tweede Wereldoorlog in Europa.
Tussen 16 april en 2 mei 1945 voerden de troepen van de Sovjet-Unie een grootschalig offensief uit om de Duitse hoofdstad in te nemen.
De stad, verdedigd door de resterende Duitse troepen en Volkssturm-milities, werd zwaar gebombardeerd en belegerd.
Op 30 april 1945 pleegde Adolf Hitler zelfmoord in zijn bunker, en enkele dagen later, op 2 mei, gaven de Duitse verdedigers van Berlijn zich over.
Dit betekende het definitieve einde van het Derde Rijk en versnelde de algehele Duitse capitulatie op 8 mei 1945.
