Original WWII Norwegian ‘Arbeidstjeneste’ female labour service insignia

The insignia is in mint condition and was worn by the Norwegian Arbeidstjeneste (AT) or also known as the Norwegian Reichsarbeitsdienst.
This particular insignia was worn by the woman of this organization.
The Norwegian Labour Service was a labour corps that operated in Norway during the Second World War under German occupation.
The organization was established in 1941, modeled on the German Reichsarbeitsdienst.
Young men were deployed for physical work, such as constructing roads, building military installations, and working in agriculture.
Although participation initially seemed voluntary, the pressure to join soon increased.
The Labour Service was intended to instill discipline in young men and to familiarize them with National Socialist ideas.
After the liberation in 1945, the organization was immediately disbanded.

Het embleem is in een mint staat en werd gedragen door de Noorse ‘Arbeidstjeneste’ of ook wel bekend als de Noorse Arbeidsdienst.
Dit embleem werd specifiek voor de vrouwen binnen deze organisatie gedragen.
De Noorse Arbeidstjeneste (AT) was een arbeidsdienst die tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog in Noorwegen actief was onder Duitse bezetting.
De organisatie werd in 1941 opgericht naar voorbeeld van de Duitse Reichsarbeitsdienst.
Jonge mannen werden ingezet voor fysieke arbeid, zoals het aanleggen van wegen, bouwen van militaire installaties en werk in de landbouw.
Hoewel deelname aanvankelijk vrijwillig leek, werd de druk om mee te doen al snel groter.
De Arbeidstjeneste moest jongeren discipline bijbrengen en hen vertrouwd maken met nationaalsocialistische ideeën.
