Original WWII Nederlandsche Volksdienst ID card of a member from Wassenaar

This identification card is in good condition, dates from 1942 and belongs to a member of the Nederlandsche Volksdienst (N.V.D.) from Wassenaar.
The Nederlandsche Volksdienst, also known as the Dutch People’s Service (NVD), was founded in July 1941 after the example of the National Socialist Volkswohlfahrt in Nazi Germany.
The founders of the NVD wanted to bundle all social work in the Netherlands in the NVD.
The leader of the Dutch People’s Service was Frederik Willem van Vloten.
The NVD was founded on the initiative and with the help of the German occupier.
The occupiers were concerned with the nazification of social work in the Netherlands.
By dedicating themselves to the NVD, they were in fact supporting the enemy.

Deze identiteitskaart is in goede conditie, dateert uit 1942 en is afkomstig van een lid van de Nederlandsche Volksdienst (N.V.D.) uit Wassenaar.
De Nederlandsche Volksdienst, ook wel Nederlandse Volksdienst (NVD) genoemd, werd in juli 1941 opgericht naar voorbeeld van de Nationalsozialistische Volkswohlfahrt in nazi-Duitsland.
De oprichters van de NVD wilden al het sociale werk in Nederland bundelen in de NVD.
De leider van de Nederlandse Volksdienst was Frederik Willem van Vloten.
De NVD werd opgericht op initiatief en met hulp van de Duitse bezetter.
Het ging de bezetters om de nazificering van het maatschappelijk werk in Nederland.
Door zich in te zetten voor de NVD, steunde men in feite de vijand.
