Original WWII German WH grouping Landesschutz Battalion 390 (D-Day related)

The grouping is in good condition and belonged to the German MG gunner Max Keinert.
Max served in the Landesschutz Battalion 390 which fought against the Allied forces in June 1944.
The Landesschutz Battalion 390 fell under the 7th Army which was stationed in Normandy and Brittany at the time of D-Day.
Initially, before D-Day, the unit guarded French colonial prisoners in Martigné-Ferchaud.
The set consists of his Soldbuch, Wehrpass, Kriegsverdienstkreuz certificate and shooting booklets.
It’s unclear whether Max was on the coast or a little further inland during the invasion.
His Wehrpass does mention: Küstenschütz an der Französische Atlantikküste.

Originele WWII Duitse grouping – Landesschutz bataljon 390 (Frankrijk invasie) 

De grouping is in goede conditie en behoorde tot de Duitse MG schutter Max Keinert.
Max diende in het Landesschutz Batallion 390 welke tegen de Amerikanen vocht in juni 1944.
Het Landesschutz Batallion 390 viel onder het 7de Leger wat gestationeerd was in Normandië en Bretagne ten tijde van D-Day.
In eerste instantie bewaakte de eenheid voor D-Day Franse koloniale gevangenen in Martigné-Ferchaud.
De set bestaat uit zijn Soldbuch, Wehrpass, Kriegsverdienstenkreuz oorkonde en schietboekjes.
Het is onduidelijk of Max tijdens de landing aan de kust lag of iets verder landinwaarts.
Wel wordt in zijn Wehrpass genoemd: Küstenschütz an der Französische Atlantikküste.
Een zeer unieke set voor de Normandië collectie!
