Original WWII German propaganda leaflet from May 1940 during the invasion of the Netherlands

This propaganda flyer, distributed by the German occupying forces in May 1940, dates from the early phase of the Second World War in the Netherlands.

Deze propaganda-flyer werd verspreid door de Duitse bezettingsmacht in de meidagen van 1940 dateert uit de beginfase van de Tweede Wereldoorlog in Nederland.
Met de opvallende kop “Waarschuwing! Aan de Nederlandsche Burgerbevolking!” trachtte de Duitse bezetter de Nederlandse burgers te intimideren en te ontmoedigen om zich bezig te houden met verzets- of sabotageacties, zoals het opblazen van bruggen of het doorsteken van dijken tijdens de Duitse inval van Nederland. De flyer benadrukt dat saboteurs de doodstraf konden verwachten.
De boodschap was duidelijk bedoeld om angst te zaaien en samenwerking af te dwingen, terwijl Nederland deels was bezet door Duitse troepen.
