Original German prisoner postcard from the Second World War originating from the Gestapo prison in the Small Fortress of Theresienstadt.
This rare Holocaust document is dated 8 August 1943 and represents original prisoner mail from the Gestapo prison at Theresienstadt.
The prisoner is identified as Heinrich Taurin and was held in Cell 8 of the Small Fortress.
The postcard is addressed to Rosa Taurin at Kazucha 39 in Leitomischl.
The reverse contains a handwritten message in which the prisoner informs his family that he is in good health, has undergone knee surgery, is temporarily unable to work and confirms receipt of a parcel.
The message was written under the strict censorship regulations enforced within the Gestapo prison at the Small Fortress.
The front contains the original prison mail regulations, including the restriction that only one letter or postcard could be sent or received each month.
An original Bauschowitz near Theresienstadt postal cancellation dated 7 August 1943 is present.

Originele Duitse gevangenen briefkaart uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog afkomstig uit de Gestapo-gevangenis in de Kleine Vesting van Theresienstadt

Dit bijzondere Holocaust-document is gedateerd 8 augustus 1943 en behoort tot de zeldzamere originele poststukken uit de Gestapo-gevangenis van Theresienstadt.
De gevangene wordt vermeld als Heinrich Taurin en verbleef in Zelle 8 van de Kleine Vesting.
De briefkaart is gericht aan Rosa Taurin aan de Kazucha 39 te Leitomischl.
De achterzijde bevat een volledig handgeschreven bericht van de gevangene waarin hij zijn familie laat weten dat hij gezond is, een knieoperatie heeft ondergaan, tijdelijk niet kan werken en een ontvangen pakket bevestigt.
