Original WWII German Polish-Language Anti-Bolshevik Propaganda Leaflet Polish II Corps Italy

Original German-produced World War II propaganda leaflet printed entirely in Polish and specifically directed at soldiers of the Polish II Corps fighting German forces in Italy.
The front features a striking anti-Bolshevik propaganda illustration depicting a skeletal Soviet soldier riding into Poland, while a signpost in the background points towards ‘Monte Cassino’ and ‘Do Mińska’.
Above the illustration appears the Polish text ‘Ty wprawdzie maszerujesz we Włoszech’, followed below by ‘natomiast bolszewicy wkraczają do Polski’, presenting the message that Polish soldiers were fighting in Italy while the Bolsheviks were entering Poland.
The reverse opens with ‘Żołnierze 2-go polskiego korpusu!’ and therefore addresses soldiers of the Polish II Corps directly.
The propaganda text attempts to convince Polish servicemen that their campaign in Italy was pointless while emphasizing Polish casualties and the Soviet advance towards Poland.
It additionally claims that Germany possessed new and decisive weapons capable of changing the outcome of the war, a recurring German propaganda theme during the later stages of World War II.
The ultimate purpose of the leaflet was to undermine Polish morale and encourage soldiers to desert or surrender to German forces.
This message is emphasized near the bottom with the large Polish slogan ‘DO DOMU!’, meaning ‘Go home!’.
The text further claims that German soldiers had been instructed to receive defecting Polish servicemen in a friendly manner and escort them to a safe location behind the lines.
The identification code ‘S. 443’ is printed in the lower right corner.
The leaflet is in used condition with discoloration, folds, staining, wear and damage along the edges, as clearly visible in the photographs.

De voorzijde toont een sterk anti-bolsjewistische propagandatekening van een skeletachtige Sovjetsoldaat die te paard Polen binnentrekt, terwijl op de achtergrond een wegwijzer naar ‘Monte Cassino’ en ‘Do Mińska’ zichtbaar is.
Boven de afbeelding staat de Poolse tekst ‘Ty wprawdzie maszerujesz we Włoszech’, gevolgd door ‘natomiast bolszewicy wkraczają do Polski’, waarmee werd gesteld dat Poolse soldaten in Italië vochten terwijl de bolsjewieken Polen binnentrokken.

Het strooibiljet verkeert in gebruikte conditie met verkleuring, vouwen, vlekken, slijtage en beschadigingen langs de randen, zoals duidelijk op de foto’s zichtbaar is.
