Original WWII German Police officers sword with portepee

This German police ‘Polizei’ officer’s sword with portepee is in used condition and was produced by the Waffenfabrik Puma in Solingen.
The sword was primarily worn during parades and formal occasions and reflects the status and authority of the officer class within the Ordnungspolizei.
The specimen shown has a black painted scabbard, silver handle fittings and a detailed eagle and swastika police emblem on the cross guard. Wrapped around the handle is the original silver-and-red porte-pee (in two pieces), indicating its use by police personnel and enhancing its ceremonial appearance.

Deze Duitse politie ‘Polizei’ officiers degen met portepee is in gebruikte conditie en werd geproduceerd door de Waffenfabrik Puma in Solingen.
De degen werd voornamelijk gedragen tijdens parades en formele gelegenheden en weerspiegelt de status en autoriteit van de officiersklasse binnen de Ordnungspolizei.
Het getoonde exemplaar heeft een zwart gelakte schede, zilverkleurig handvatbeslag en een gedetailleerd adelaar en hakenkruis politieembleem op de dwarsbeschermer.
