This German Wehrmacht photo album is in good condition and contains 167 sharp private photos of the Beobachtungsabteilung 20 during the pre-war period in Germany and the invasion of Sudetenland.
The photos show various interesting subjects such as tanks, artillery, Jewish shop, the tearing down of statues, bunkers, generals, flags, and much more.
The invasion of the Sudetenland was an important step in the run-up to World War II. The Sudetenland was a region in Czechoslovakia with a large ethnic German population. In 1938, Adolf Hitler demanded that this area be annexed to Nazi Germany, under the pretext that the German minority there was being oppressed.
In October 1938, Germany occupied the area without military resistance. Shortly thereafter, Hitler invaded the rest of Czechoslovakia, making it clear that his ambitions went far beyond the Sudetenland alone. An interesting photo album for the military or World War II collection!

Dit Duitse Wehrmacht foto album is in goede conditie en daarin zitten 167 scherpe privé foto’s van de Beobachtungsabteilung 20 tijdens de vooroorlogse periode in Duitsland en de inval van Sudetenland.
Op de foto’s zijn verschillende interessante onderwerpen te zien zoals tanks, artillerie, joodse winkel, neer halen van beelden, bunkers, generaal, vlaggen en nog veel meer.
De inval van het Sudetenland was een belangrijke stap in de aanloop naar de Tweede Wereldoorlog. Het Sudetenland was een regio in Tsjechoslowakije met een grote etnisch Duitse bevolking. In 1938 eiste Adolf Hitler dat dit gebied bij nazi-Duitsland werd gevoegd, onder het voorwendsel dat de Duitse minderheid daar onderdrukt werd.
In oktober 1938 bezette Duitsland het gebied zonder militair verzet. Kort daarna viel Hitler de rest van Tsjechoslowakije binnen, waarmee duidelijk werd dat zijn ambities veel verder gingen dan alleen het Sudetenland.
