Original WWII German Personal-Ausweis (Dowód Osobisty) Krakau in Poland

This original rare Personal-Ausweis (Dowód Osobisty) is a German personal identification document issued in Krakau on March 8, 1940, by the Stadtverwaltung Krakau within the General Government.

The document is made out in the name of Halina Nowicka, born in 1883 in Lwów, and lists her address as Gartenstrasse / Grodzkiego (Krakau). It also describes personal characteristics such as medium height, oval face, blonde hair, and blue eyes. The Ausweis contains the original portrait photograph, the holder’s signature, and multiple red official stamps from the Krakau city administration.
