This Deutsches Opernhaus Berlin booklet is in good condition and contains photos and information related to the Berlin Opera House.
During World War II, the Berlin Opernhaus, then known as the Staatsoper Unter den Linden, remained an important symbol of culture in the Third Reich. The opera house was actively used by the National Socialist regime as part of its propaganda apparatus. Performances continued well into the war, often with works that matched the ideological preferences of the regime.
In 1941, the building was badly damaged by a fire, but reopened after quick repairs. Finally, in 1945, the opera house was almost completely destroyed by Allied bombing, along with large parts of central Berlin. The ruins remained untouched for a time until the building was rebuilt in the GDR in the 1950s.

Dit Deutsches Opernhaus Berlin boekje is in goede conditie en bevat foto’s en informatie met betrekking tot het Berlijnse Operahuis.
Tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog bleef het Berlijnse Opernhaus, toen bekend als het Staatsoper Unter den Linden, een belangrijk symbool van cultuur in het Derde Rijk. Het operahuis werd actief gebruikt door het nationaalsocialistische regime als onderdeel van zijn propaganda-apparaat. Voorstellingen gingen door tot diep in de oorlog, vaak met werken die aansloten bij de ideologische voorkeuren van het regime.
In 1941 werd het gebouw zwaar beschadigd door een brand, maar heropend na snelle herstelwerkzaamheden. Uiteindelijk werd het operahuis in 1945 vrijwel volledig verwoest door geallieerde bombardementen, samen met grote delen van het centrum van Berlijn. De ruïnes bleven een tijdlang onaangeroerd, tot het gebouw in de jaren ’50 in de DDR werd herbouwd.
