Original WWII German Occupation Ausweis Legitymacja Agricultural Vocational School Lublin 1942–1944

Original WWII German occupation Ausweis / Legitymacja issued in occupied Poland to Julia Marec, born on 8 May 1924.
This bilingual German-Polish identity card belonged to a female student of the ‘Öffentliche landw. Verbandsberufsschule’, a public agricultural vocational school for young people.
Lower vocational schools were among the forms of Polish education that continued to operate under restrictions during the German occupation.
The document was issued on 10 June 1942 and retains the original photograph of its female holder.
It contains several school stamps, signatures and validity extensions dating from the German occupation period.
Particularly notable is the German eagle and swastika stamp of the ‘Schulamt’ in Lublin.
The reverse contains several extensions showing that the identification document remained in use for several years.
This Ausweis is an interesting original document relating to everyday life, agricultural education and the German occupation administration in the Lublin district.
A closely comparable bilingual agricultural vocational school Ausweis dating from 1942 has also been documented in historical research concerning Polish students during the occupation.

Het tweetalige Duits-Poolse identiteitsbewijs behoorde toe aan een leerlinge van de ‘Öffentliche landw. Verbandsberufsschule’, een openbare landbouwkundige beroepsschool voor jongeren.
Dergelijke lagere beroeps- en vakscholen behoorden tot de onderwijsvormen die tijdens de Duitse bezetting van Polen nog mochten functioneren.
Het document werd op 10 juni 1942 uitgegeven en bevat de originele pasfoto van de houdster.
Op het document bevinden zich verschillende schoolstempels, handtekeningen en geldigheidsverlengingen uit de bezettingsperiode.
Bijzonder opvallend is de Duitse stempel met adelaar en hakenkruis van het ‘Schulamt’ in Lublin.
De achterzijde is voorzien van meerdere verlengingen en toont dat het document gedurende meerdere jaren daadwerkelijk in gebruik is geweest.
Het Ausweis vormt een interessant origineel document betreffende het dagelijks leven, landbouwonderwijs en de Duitse bezettingsadministratie in het district Lublin.
Een vrijwel identiek type tweetalige Ausweis van een landbouwkundige beroepsschool uit 1942 is tevens gedocumenteerd in historisch onderzoek naar Poolse leerlingen tijdens de bezetting.
