Original German book ‘Jahrbuch der Deutschen Luftwaffe 1939’.
The light-coloured cloth front cover features a Luftwaffe eagle with swastika above the title printed in gothic lettering.
The book was published on behalf of the Reichsluftfahrtministerium by Breitkopf & Härtel in Leipzig and includes a foreword by Generalfeldmarschall Göring.
The title page states it was edited by Hauptmann (E) Dr. Eichelbaum im Reichsluftfahrtministerium.
The book contains numerous chapters by various authors covering subjects such as fighter pilots, anti-aircraft artillery, naval aviators and the development of the air arm, illustrated with many original black-and-white photographs of aircraft, pilots and Luftwaffe personnel.
Towards the back is a chapter listing the requirements for enlistment into the Luftwaffe.
An interesting collectible for those interested in pre-war German Luftwaffe literature and Third Reich militaria.

De lichtgekleurde linnen voorzijde toont een Luftwaffe adelaar met hakenkruis boven de titel in gotische letters.
Het boek werd in opdracht van het Reichsluftfahrtministerium uitgegeven door Breitkopf & Härtel in Leipzig en bevat een geleitwoord van Generalfeldmarschall Göring.
