Original WWII German letter to Evert Jan Roskam (leader Agrarisch Front)

The letter is in good condition and comes from the personal possession of Evert Jan Roskam, the leader of the Agrarisch Front.

‘November 24, 1941

Dear Mr Roskam,

Through the mediation of Hernn Dr. In Erfurt I received the manuscript of your excellent essay, with which you have so graciously fulfilled my most devoted request for your invaluable cooperation in our special edition on the Netherlands.

Immediately after we receive your item, we have completed our special issue, which is already in print and will be available in approximately 10 days.

We take the liberty of sending you two copies immediately after the booklet is issued and would appreciate it if you would let us know to which postal check or bank account we can transfer the amount of the compensation.

Hoping that our publication will also have a beneficial effect on your work, I would like to repeat my sincere thanks and Heil Hitler!

You are very dedicated.’

Along with the letter came two pages of the article about Mr Roskam.

De brief is in goede conditie en is afkomstig uit persoonlijk bezit van Evert Jan Roskam, de leider van het Agrarisch Front.

’24 november 1941

Geachte heer Roskam,

Door de bemiddeling van Hernn Dr. In Erfurt ontving ik het manuscript van uw uitstekende essay, waarmee u zo genadig aan mijn zeer toegewijde verzoek om uw onschatbare medewerking aan onze speciale uitgave over Nederland hebt voldaan.

Onmiddellijk nadat we uw artikel hebben ontvangen, hebben we onze speciale uitgave voltooid, die al in druk is en over ongeveer 10 dagen beschikbaar zal zijn.

Wij zijn zo vrij u direct na uitgifte van het boekje twee exemplaren te sturen en zouden het op prijs stellen als u ons zou willen laten weten op welke postcheque of bankrekening wij het bedrag van de vergoeding kunnen overmaken.

In de hoop dat onze publicatie ook een gunstig effect zal hebben op uw werk, herhaal ik graag mijn oprechte dank en Heil Hitler!
