Original WWII German Kriegsmarine ‘Einsatzstab Adria’ cuff title

The cuff title is in good condition and this is probably one of the rarest Kriegsmarine related cuff title out there!
It is the ‘Einsatzstab Adria’ cuff title and we are aware of only one other example.
The ‘Einsatz Stab Adria’ was a German Naval commando force or also known as MEKS – Marineeinsatzkommandos.
These small commando units often consisted of about 50 to 100 men.

Frogmen, one-man submarines and Schnellboats were therefore also available to carry out their commando actions.

Often the task was to blow up a bridge in enemy territory, to disturb the enemy when landing on the coast or to lay mines in different waters.
The ‘Einsatzstab Adria’ is also mentioned in the ‘Kriegstagebuch der Seekriegsleitung’ and that they participated in an attack against the Donau bridges and that they were connected with the Heeresgruppe F.
They also laid mines at the Russian ponton bridge near Apatin in Serbia.

The ‘Einsatzstab Adria’ is also mentioned in the book Hitlers secret Commandos – Operations of the K-Verband.

The cuff title is produced with a smooth brown wool and a small piece of rayon on the back and it has its full length.
Often these units suffered enormous losses because of the great risk they took.

The units were quite small, which is perhaps why only two cuff titles are known.
A very rare cuff title for the Kriegsmarine or World War II collection!

Originele WWII Duitse Kriegsmarine ‘Einsatzstab Adria’ cuff title 

De cuff title is in een goede conditie en dit is één van de zeldzaamste Kriegsmarine cuff titles die er geproduceerd is.
Het betreft een ‘Einsatzstab Adria’ cuff title en wij zijn op de hoogte van slecht één ander exemplaar.
De ‘Einsatzstab Adria’ was een Duitse marine commando eenheid, ook wel bekend als MEKS – Marineeinsatzkommandos.
Deze kleine commando eenheid bestond vaak uit 50 a 100 man.
Kikvorsmannen, eenmansduikboten en Schnellboten waren ook aanwezig in deze eenheid.
Vaak was de taak om een brug in vijandelijk gebied op te blazen, de vijand te verstoren bij een landing aan de kust of mijnen te leggen in diverse wateren.
De ‘Einsatzstab Adria’ wordt ook genoemd in het ‘Kriegstagebuch der Seekriegsleitung’ en zij hebben onder andere de bruggen over de rivier de Donau aangevallen en stonden tevens ook in verbinding met Heeresgruppe F.
Tevens hebben zij ook mijnen bij een Russische pontonbrug gelegd bij Apatin in Servië.

De cuff title heeft de volledige lengte en werd geproduceerd met een bruine wol en een kleine stuk rayon aan de achterzijde.
Vaak leden deze eenheden zware verliezen vanwege het risico dat men nam en daarbij waren de eenheden erg klein, wat de reden zal zijn dat er maar twee cuff titles bekend zijn.
Een erg zeldzame cuff title voor de Kriegsmarine of Tweede Wereldoorlog collectie!
