Original WWII German Kennkarte from occupied Poland, issued to Barbara Jarosz.
Barbara Jarosz was born on 22 February 1926 in Ołpiny and was registered as a Polish national and Roman Catholic.
Her trained occupation is listed as ‘Kugelpoliererin’, while her current occupation is recorded as ‘Postangestellte’, meaning a postal employee.
The Kennkarte was issued on 17 April 1944 and records Tarnów as the place of issue within the Krakau District.
The document retains the original identification photograph, signature and two fingerprints of the holder.
Kennkarte number 6504 is recorded on the document, alongside an earlier number 7648.
The bilingual German-Polish printing and administrative information make this an interesting named document from the General Government during the German occupation of Poland.

Als aangeleerd beroep staat ‘Kugelpoliererin’ vermeld en als uitgeoefend beroep ‘Postangestellte’, oftewel medewerkster bij de posterijen.
De Kennkarte werd op 17 april 1944 uitgegeven en vermeldt Tarnów als plaats van afgifte binnen het Distrikt Krakau.
Het document is voorzien van de originele pasfoto, handtekening en twee vingerafdrukken van de houdster.
Op de Kennkarte staat nummer 6504 vermeld, met daarnaast een eerdere nummervermelding 7648.
De tweetalige Duits-Poolse opdruk en de administratieve gegevens maken dit een interessant persoonsgebonden document uit het Generalgouvernement tijdens de Duitse bezetting van Polen.
De Kennkarte verkeert in goede gebruikte conditie met de gebruikssporen duidelijk zichtbaar op de foto’s.
