Hitlerjugend 

The Hitler Youth (Hitlerjugend) was the youth organization of the National Socialist German Workers’ Party (NSDAP) in Nazi Germany. Boys from the age of 10 were enrolled and subjected to a strict ideological program focused on obedience, discipline, militarism, and the glorification of Hitler.
From 1936 onward, membership became essentially mandatory. Boys were prepared for future service in the military, while girls, through the sister organization (the Bund Deutscher Mädel), were trained to become “good mothers and homemakers” according to Nazi ideals.
The Hitler Youth played a key role in the indoctrination of German children, instilling loyalty to the regime and embedding Nazi ideology from a young age.

Hitlerjugend

De Hitlerjugend (Hitlerjeugd) was de jeugdorganisatie van de Nationaalsocialistische Duitse Arbeiderspartij (NSDAP) in nazi-Duitsland. Jongens vanaf 10 jaar werden lid en kregen een sterk ideologisch programma voorgeschoteld waarin gehoorzaamheid, discipline, militarisme en verering van Hitler centraal stonden.
Vanaf 1936 werd lidmaatschap in feite verplicht. Jongens werden voorbereid op een rol in het leger, terwijl meisjes via de zusterorganisatie (de Bund Deutscher Mädel) werden opgeleid tot “goede moeders en huisvrouwen” volgens nazi-idealen.
De Hitlerjugend speelde een belangrijke rol in de indoctrinatie van de jeugd en hielp het naziregime om al op jonge leeftijd loyaliteit en nationaalsocialistisch gedachtengoed in te prenten.
