Original WWII German Hermann Göring Werke Starachowice Factory ID Ausweis 1942 – Polish Worker

Rare original WWII German Werk-Ausweis issued by the Hermann Göring Werke, Werk Starachowice, during the German occupation of Poland.
The identification card belonged to Zofia Babinska, born on 27 April 1902 in Neu Sandez, and carries number 5277.
The front is prominently marked ‘HERMANN GÖRING WERKE – WERK STARACHOWICE’ and contains the holder’s personal details together with her original identification photograph.
The lower section shows an issue date of 1942 as well as a signature and stamp of the Abwehrbeauftragter.
A distinctive red and green diagonal marking runs across the identification card and partly alongside the photograph.
The reverse contains regulations governing the use of the Werk-Ausweis, printed in both German and Polish.
These regulations state, among other things, that the holder was authorized to enter the designated department of the factory, that the pass was non-transferable and that any loss had to be reported immediately to the security official.
Upon termination of employment, the pass had to be returned to the security department, with the regulations also referring to notification of the Gestapo in cases of non-compliance.
The combination of Hermann Göring Werke, the Starachowice location, the 1942 date, bilingual German-Polish text and original identification photograph makes this a rare document connected to German wartime industry in occupied Poland.

Zeldzame originele WWII Duitse Werk-Ausweis van de Hermann Göring Werke, Werk Starachowice, uitgegeven tijdens de Duitse bezetting van Polen

De legitimatie behoorde toe aan Zofia Babinska, geboren op 27 april 1902 in Neu Sandez, en draagt het nummer 5277.
Op de voorzijde staat prominent ‘HERMANN GÖRING WERKE – WERK STARACHOWICE’ met daaronder de persoonlijke gegevens en een originele pasfoto van de houdster.
Onderaan is als uitgiftedatum 1942 aangegeven en zijn een handtekening en stempel van de Abwehrbeauftragter zichtbaar.
De rood-groene diagonale markering loopt over de legitimatie en gedeeltelijk langs de pasfoto.
De achterzijde bevat de voorschriften voor het gebruik van de Werk-Ausweis, zowel in het Duits als in het Pools.
Hierin staat onder andere dat de houder bevoegd was de op de achterzijde vermelde afdeling van de fabriek te betreden, dat de legitimatie niet overdraagbaar was en dat verlies direct aan de veiligheidsfunctionaris gemeld moest worden.
Bij beëindiging van het dienstverband moest de Ausweis worden ingeleverd bij het kantoor van de veiligheidsafdeling, waarbij tevens wordt verwezen naar melding bij de Gestapo wanneer hieraan geen gehoor werd gegeven.
De combinatie van Hermann Göring Werke, de locatie Starachowice, het jaartal 1942, de tweetalige Duits-Poolse tekst en de originele pasfoto maakt dit een zeldzaam document uit de Duitse oorlogsindustrie in bezet Polen.
