Original German Feuerschutzpolizei visor cap from the Second World War in used condition.
This Schirmmütze is made of dark blue wool with the distinctive finish of the Feuerschutzpolizei.
The cap retains its aluminium police eagle, national cockade and black velvet cap band.
The interior features a light blue lining with a transparent diamond-shaped sweat shield and a leather sweatband.
During the Second World War, the Feuerschutzpolizei was the uniformed fire service of Germany.
Beginning in 1938, many municipal fire brigades were placed under centralized state control and incorporated into the police organization.
As a result, they ultimately came under the authority of Heinrich Himmler.

Originele Duitse Feuerschutzpolizei vizier pet uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog in gebruikte conditie.
Deze schirmmütze is uitgevoerd in donkerblauw laken met de kenmerkende afwerking van de Feuerschutzpolizei.
De pet is voorzien van een aluminium politieadelaar, nationale kokarde en een zwarte fluwelen band.
De binnenzijde beschikt over een lichtblauwe voering met transparant ruitvormig zweetlabel en een leren zweetband.
De Feuerschutzpolizei was tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog de geüniformeerde brandweerorganisatie van Duitsland.
Vanaf 1938 werden veel gemeentelijke brandweerkorpsen onder centrale staatscontrole geplaatst en opgenomen in de politieorganisatie.
Daardoor vielen zij uiteindelijk onder het gezag van Heinrich Himmler.
