This German erkennungsmarke is in good condition and belonged to a member of Infanterie-Regiment 48.
Formed August 26, 1939 as a regiment of the 4. Welle in WK VII from the additional battalions E/IR 19, E/IR 61 and E/Geb.Jg.Rgt. 100 and assigned to the 268th Infantry Division.
On Oct. 12, 1940, the regimental staff and III Battalion were transferred to IR 438 and replaced. On May 1, 1942, II Battalion was disbanded and on October 15, 1942, the regiment was renamed Grenadier-Regiment 468.

Deze Duitse erkennungsmarke is in goede conditie en behoorde tot een lid van Infanterie-Regiment 468.
Opgericht op 26 augustus 1939 als een regiment van de 4. Welle in WK VII uit de aanvullende bataljons E/IR 19, E/IR 61 en E/Geb.Jg.Rgt. 100 en ondergebracht bij de 268e Infanterie Divisie.
Op 12 oktober 1940 werden de regimentsstaf en het III Bataljon overgeplaatst naar IR 438 en vervangen. Op 1 mei 1942 werd het II Bataljon opgeheven en op 15 oktober 1942 werd het regiment omgedoopt tot Grenadier-Regiment 468.
